A variety of social activities are arranged throughout the season, members being kept informed via the Notice Board and the 'Log'. To view the Log click here. There is a 'Social Member' category with a lower subscription for those who may have discontinued active sailing but wish to remain involved with the sport & social atmosphere of Shearwater Club.
Visits to other sailing clubs are regularly organised including coastal
visits e.g. Roadford Lake and Swanage
Regatta. There is also a link with Alkmaar Sailing Club in Holland where
exchange visits are occasionally undertaken.
Open meetings also can include a social event, particularly the annual
visit by the Classic and Vintage Racing Dinghy Association (http://www.cvrda.org)
which has many members at Shearwater Sailing Club
The annual dinner dance and presentation
evening rounds off the season in style.
